Phelps Barn

Phelps Barn at The Old Tavern at GraftonPhelps Barn at The Old Tavern serves as the inn's bar. It is a fantastic place to end your day in Grafton. Attached to the main inn, Phelps Barn was once a carriage house for guests' horses. The bar itself was designed after another historic bar at the Wayside Inn in Sudbury, Massachusetts.

The bar is open for guests every evening. All legal beverages served. While in Phelps Barn, be sure to see the antique quilt collection and the upstairs room at the back of the loft which features many old photos of The Old Tavern and Grafton. The large gun hanging from the loft is actually an advertising sign from an old gun shop in Boston.

Many guests have fond memories of the first time they had one of the ales we feature in the Phelps Barn, namely McNeill's, which is brewed right down the road in Brattleboro, Vt.

Phelps BarnThe upper level of the Barn includes a separate sitting room with Cable TV, board games and a desktop computer with DSL access for guests. The bar is also wired with free WiFi.
